4 Months and Growing!
What a difference a month has made! It's easy to overlook how much can change in just 30(ish) days. In just one month's time, Carter has fallen in love with is feet, splashing water during baths (which he loves), and began to reach for the animals on the arc of his play mat. The little guy has even started to find his own voice, sporadically going from grumbles to screeches, and all while doing it with a smile on his face.
The past month hasn't been all sunshine and rainbows. Carter STILL hates tummy time - however, putting toys in front of him does seem to help distract him from his frustrations. And if he didn't already have enough going on with food allergies, he now has to take eye drops, and is experiencing a bit of sleep regression. If you compound this with what looks like the start of teething (more drooling, face rubbing, whiter gums), you'd think it'd be a nightmare to watch him, but that's not the case.
Carter continues to be one of the most loving and lovable babies to be around. He smiles back at warm faces, and loves being held. His asserts his independence as he insists on holding the bottle as he feeds (when mommy is away, of course). Overall, it has been another wonderful month of seeing him grow.
